August Class Range Night Weather Advisory!

There is a weather advisory for our area today:  AccuWeather.com

URGENT – WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GRAND FORKS ND
1017 AM CDT THU AUG 21 2008

…STRONG SOUTHERLY WINDS TODAY INTO THIS EVENING OVER EASTERN NORTH
DAKOTA AND WESTERN MINNESOTA…

.A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE INTO CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA TODAY WITH
GUSTY SOUTHERLY WINDS OUT AHEAD OF IT. SOUTH WINDS WILL BE
SUSTAINED IN THE 25 TO 35 MPH RANGE WITH A FEW GUSTS TO 45 MPH
OVER EASTERN NORTH DAKOTA INTO WESTERN MINNESOTA.

The wind may affect the marksmanship of our shooting, but we are only interested in demonstrations of safety with firearms tonight at the range.  So, other than some extra precautions, we should be good to go for tonight.  Remember to bring anything you may need as far as clothing.  Not only will we be kneeling, sitting and laying in the dirt, but with the wind there may be some dirt flying around as well.  We may have to forego the Treestand Activity if the wind presents too much of a hazard for climbing into a stand.  The good news is the wind should keep the bugs down!  See you all tonight!
